Meet Owner and Former Carolina Panther, Damiere Byrd

The company was founded in 2024 when former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Damiere Byrd retired and opened the first Bumble Roofing in the Charlotte area. Following a nearly-decade-long career in the NFL, having played for the Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Washington Commanders, and Buffalo Bills. Byrd also played college football at the University of South Carolina.

Charlotteans likely know Byrd well; his many accolades include setting the franchise record with the Panthers with a 103-yard kickoff return. Now, Byrd is hustling as the fastest-growing roofing company in Charlotte.

Byrd chose the Queen City as the place he, his wife, and now their first baby want to call home. He is thrilled to remain part of the community that welcomed him during his NFL career, giving back to the community through exceptional roofing services.
